Occupy This

First, let me say, as a Vietnam-era veteran, I never had much use for demonstrations. No matter how
justified. I believed then that working within the system to effect change
was the right way. I viewed those "Acts of Civil Disobedience" as counter-productive to
to real change. However, today,we have a system that has been shaped over the last 30 years,
favor a select few. Indeed, the fewer seem to be getting fewer and fewer.
There seems to be a determined effort to destroy the middle class. This effort has many faces.
From the uber-rich and their bought and paid for politicans,to the shameful
"Citizen-United" decision by the Supreme Court. By demonizing words like "Liberal"
and "Welfare", conservatives have put progressives on the defensive for too many years.
At lastm it seems people have awakened to the fact that they have been and are continuing
to be, victimized by greedy and often corrupt forces atempting to eastablish
a government for the rich and powerful, by the rich and powerful. "Trickle-down"
economics has never worked to anybodies benefit except those at the top.
I applaude the courage and persistence of those in the "Occupy" Movement.
The Oligarchs will only be made accountable for their actions,by continious
and persistent exposure. Keep up the good work, you "99"percenters. We, the people
united can restore fairness and justice for all the people, "99%"ers and "1%"
alike.
